Data Storage¶
Data archiving¶
UZH Central IT (ZI) offers a long-term storage* (taping) for 5 or 10 years for the cheaper price than scalable storage offered by the Science IT.
Data has to be pre-zipped/tarred into directories up to 5 Tb in size (no 0 byte files) and simply copied to the long-term storage (LTS) NAS via SMB-based protocol.

Network storage with high availability and backup¶
UZH Central IT (ZI) offers two data network storage (NAS) solutions in the UZH internal network with backup in the service catalogue.

*depending on the defect class, service class A has shorter response time and more support time by an IT consultant.

When ordering, have Kostenstelle (cost center) number ready and input below fields depending on the request fo individual or group share.
