Network Storage with High Availability and Backup¶

UZH Central IT (ZI) offers multiple data network storage (NAS) solutions in the UZH internal network with backup. Different services and options for storage with backup are available:

• individual or group shares,
• SMB or NFS transfer protocols,
• access authorization through UZH Active Directory,
• and more...

The availabilty of these service options changes rather frequently. Please consult the Central IT service catalogue (in the category "Basis IT-Infrastruktur") for current availability and more service details. Typical service names are AD-integrated File Services, File Service - SMB, File Service - NFS. In general, to access these storage services with backup you need to involve the IT Responsible (IT-Verantwortliche) of your organisational unit.
